The DSA Serves the County of Alameda and Its Members with Honor and Pride

The Deputy Sheriffs’ Association of Alameda County was founded in 1940 as a way to ensure the deputies received the tools they needed to better serve and protect the public. It has since evolved to encompass community outreach programs. The goal of the Deputy Sheriffs’ Association of Alameda County is to partner with the communities and provide quality police service through community interaction, emphasizing the highest degree of cooperation, professionalism, and ethical behavior, and to create an atmosphere of safety and security. Our community policing approach helps neighborhoods keep safe by working with our deputies daily. The Deputy Sheriffs’ Association of Alameda County is active in our communities and many of our members volunteer in Alameda County and the communities where they live.

We have proudly served the communities of Alameda County for the last 75 years as an association and 162 years as a Sheriff’s Office. We are committed to not only the safety of our citizens and businesses but to providing charitable contributions to those in our communities who need our help the most. Currently, we are involved with the Alameda County’s Deputy Sheriffs’ Activities League (DSAL), Alameda County Sheriff’s Office Explorers, K9 Association of Alameda County, and Special Olympics.
